I am looking for somewhere to go in the second week of August which is not too expensive, suitable for adults and teenagers, by the sea and not full of lager louts or scumbags, can anyone help please?

  1. Cyprus the Western end of the island from Limassol westwards, or Malta, Bugibba area

  2. can you visit Mexico, may be can be my friend?

  3. Varna (Bulgaria)

Dubrovnik, Zadar and Split (Croatian coastline)

    Krakow (Poland)

    Cheap and amazing family destinations.

    BTW:

Budapest 2nd&3rd August - Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix

  4. Hit Sicily!

Excellent location, great weather, you will find both nice beaches and historical places, there's something for everyone there.

I highly recommend it, check it out!

  5. Protaras, Cyprus.

Great family orientated resort. Most of the hotels are situated along the shoreline of Fig Tree Bay and Flamingo Bay, and are all within easy walking distance of shops bars and restaurants. Good sandy beaches and clear blue seas.

From here, your just a short drive from Konnos Bay...a little cove, tucked away and not quite as commercialised as some of the beaches, and of course, from Protaras, you're just a short distance from Agia Napa.....and no, don't belive all you hear or read!!! Its not all booze cruises, clubs and lager louts!! There are some very nice beaches; Liminaki, Adams, Nisi and Makronissoss, and some very nice shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a funfair, and also the largest waterpark in Europe! You can take a boat trip from the harbour, which will take you along the coastline, passing Cavo Greko, Protaras, Konnos Bay, Pernera, Kapparis, eventually reaching the ghost town of Famagusta, where the boat will turn around to make the journey back........the boat stops a couple of time along the way for people to swim from the boat. Really good trip, out for about 4-5 hours, and all for just a few euros each.

Take a jeep safari, and visit The Troodos Mountains to escape the heat for a while, and Lefkosia ( Nicosia), Larnaka, Pyla, and Paphos are all worth a visit too.

I'm sure you would love it here...very safe and friendly....and , at the moment, very hot too....around 32C now, and its still only 9.30.a.m.!!

I live in Xylofagou, about 8K from Agia Napa.

  6. Croatia, they have a beach very clean water and very inexpensive. Vodice is Beautiful and you can fly into Zagreb and travel by bus or train for a short distance to Vodice. They also have some night clubs for teens and it's very safe.

  7. I'd say head to Bulgaria, or Egypt (it's actually quite cheap nowadays), I've been to Bulgaria twice and absolutely loved it. The people are friendly, the food is very cheap even in the most touristy areas and there are plenty of things to see and do.

  8. Consider Praia da Rocha, Algarve, Portugal

Something for everyone whatever your age and taste. That’s why you feel so good at Praia da Rocha!

The resort’s size is ideal and the beach is of outstanding beauty as well as perfectly convenient for walking up & down or have a nice drink/meal at the beach!  Great places to eat with brill views of the Arade River can be found by the Marina (e.g. Dockside) or on the west side with sea views (e.g. Casa da Rocha). In between try Marisqueira da Rocha near the Algarve Mor building (close to the Algarve Casino Hotel) has good authentic cuisine including a great Cataplana!

At night there are quite relaxing areas/bars as well as more noisy ones!

No doubt you’ll get down to the Riverside area of Portimão – more great restaurants there and it’s the place to go for a trip up the river or out to sea! Try the Pirate ship trip (http://www.santa-bernarda.com/cruises_uk...

In the centre of Portimão try more restaurants and/or the pedestrianised shopping zone.

    Prepare to enjoy!
