how much would you expect to pay per week for a holiday cottage set on a farm near a main road but secluded too, easy access to shops, lots to do, sleeps up to 8 with beds made up and chocolates and flowers on arrival, newly refurbished, in Dumfries and Galloway just 8 miles from dumfries with aprox 28 golf clubs within short driving distance!?

  1. I would estimate ,depending when,£300-£500/week.

  2. For an 8 bed cottage, with "welcome pack" I would think you are looking on £500-£900 depending on the time of year you plan to stay, and depending on whether all 8 beds will be used, or just a couple occupying.

I look after a cottage which sleeps just 4 people, and the owners charge up to £600 for a week main season.

  3. which holiday?

  4. Sounds lovely.  You could check out what sort of prices are being charged for cottages at this link, and compare them with yours...

  5. Sounds like a nice cottage your hiring out. Compare what you think it should be with others similar in the area via the local tourist board or the millions of cottage getaway brochures.
