  1. Fethiye-Oludeniz Beach is located in South West Mediterranean Turkey. Oludeniz Beach is surely one of the best beaches in the world. Such clean warm turquoise waters, countless shades of blue, perfect white shingle sand and nothing but sunshine for most of the year - so come and discover it yourself.

You will be surprised by the beach. Really amazing...

  2. Colin, just go to foca, izmir. It is the simplest and probably the best of the places you will EVER see. It won't cost you alot of money also. Trust me you will LOVE it. Or, you can go stay at URLA,IZMIR. This place is extremely awesome. Good luck on your trip :)

  3. Hi Colin;

I have traveled to Turkey and I have use www.OtelTatilGezi.com there is many places and hotels on this site. you can find it easy. site is in Turkish but usage is very easy. you can select city that you want to go from "Sehir". you cen select hotel category grom "Kategori" you can select district from "Ilce " and you can select Hotel type from "Tesis Tipi" . All this below "Detayli Arama" header on main page on the left side of page.after this there is list of hotels. and you can see details by clicking each hotel. and photo gallery etc. I have used www.OtelTatilGezi.com. you can use it also. Take care

  4. merhaba (hello in turkish) colin :)

I do not reccomend in goin to marmaris as it is alot of youths and can be very loud at night, even in hotels.

ölü deniz is a lovely place, and most hotels you stay in are very near the beach. It is called ölü deniz because it means dead sea/ocean so it is very calming and there is always room on the beach, and at night it is nice to walk by.

Though at the front of the beach it has a lot of bars, there is one that is a more quieter bar which is nice to chill out in after a long day.

You are also surrounded by mountains in ölü deniz  and you have a wide variety of activities, that alot of them last all day, such as quad biking (if you are into action). There is also things like paragliding, hamam (turkish bath) which is VERY relaxing, and it shouldn't be more than 10-15 YTL (yeni turkish lira) which is worth it, and you may also get a massage for half an hour for 10 YTL.

Also, if you do not like to go to the ölü deniz beach there is a private beach (which you can be driven to for free if you contact them, via your hotel, this beach is called the blue lagoon.

The atmosphere is very nice, and if you wish to see some culture, you can get on a dolmuş (bus) that stops anywhere you would like it too, to places like Hisaronu or fethiye to go to the markets it should be no more than 2,50-3,00 YTL. Or you can ask down the beach front, for certain day trips, 5/7 island boat trip is nice, to go to dalyan for mud bath, see the tombs, and a the gorge trip is fun.

On the beach front there are alot of people trying to sell you trips, but there is one that is nice, which is called Easy Riders, a man name George should be there alot of the time, he is very good english and very nice. Though I noticed his prices are going up so there is another store called Pegas. There is also one called focus though i cannot remember there prices.

There is a nice hotel, not too far from the beach (walk straight down the road) called the montebello, it has free air conditioning and the rooms are simple but clean. There is also free TV and hair dryer.

    I hope i helped.

Have a nice trip where ever you may go :o)

  6. Marmaris, whatever your age or what you want, it has everything. You can compare it with a CLEAN Blackpool, where all you want is there dependant on which part you go to.

If you want a quieter holiday then Icmeler is the place ( a couple of miles across the bay from Marmaris)

Both places have Excellent eating places, bars and shopping, but I still recommend marmaris, you can catch local buses for days out, nights either in Bar street or at locals, Belly dancig nights out - you name it - they have it. I have been to kusadasi, bodrum, gumbet, etc. but return to marmaris 7 times. Can't be all that bad can it.

  7. hi Colin, i would recommend kusadasi. only problem is there are no flights from Scotland, we had to drive to Manchester 180 miles! but, well Worth it . loads of things to see and do , weather fantastic, people very friendly. enjoy yersel where ever you go.

  8. Kuşadası or Didim.

  9. Konya, right outside of Ankara is famous for the Whirling Dervishes. It is also where  Rumi Mevlana's grave is.

    Lucky you! Enjoy!!

  10. hi Colin,

the holiday hotspots for tourists are usually bodrum, kusadasi, marmaris.  Bodrum has a great place known as the BAR'S STREET it has great pubs, bars and restaurants, beaches are really good.  You get people of all ages there so i think you will enjoy.  Once there you can travel by bus to other holiday places which are realatively close to one another.  I would also recommend that you visit "Cotton Castle" its a very nice place and on the way there from bodrum the buses do stops at places where hand made rugs are made.

Overall pretty good experience wish i could go again.  Have a good time
