Holiday refund?

we booked and paid for our pontins holiday for the 19th july but a family memeber is really ill so i no longer wish to go,i wrote to pontins and explained it all and asked for a refund but i also told if they can,t refund us do not cancel the holiday as we cannot lose our money.today we got a cancellation form with a paypoint slip at the bottom,i have tried contactin pontins but it just rings and rings so i still do not know if i am gettin refunded,,,any ideas?????

Contact a Travel Agency, they might know. You should be able to get most if not all of your money back, so keep trying to call Pontins as well.

Don't know but a few years ago in the terms of booking it said buy travel insurance incase of cancellation. I didn't book because of this.
