  1. Depends what you like. Depending on what you like and where you go your family's holiday may be soooo different!

I agree that a holiday in Sunny Beach might not be too noisy to be enjoyable by a family :)

The web page re> Madara seems an interesting offer to me - that is, if you want to venture into the mailnland and not stick to the seaside.

I would always recommend to aybody to do this - like explore the mountains, the history places (Veliko Turnovo, Plovdiv, Preslav) and old fashined villages such as Elena, Tryavna, Bozhenci, Koprivshittsa, Leshten. Or spa places - Hissar, Velingrad, Razlog (Katarino!), etc.

Check out "adventurenet", if are curious abou action holidays and google all the places I've mentioned to see what's there. You can combine self catering and dining out - its not so expensive, especially if you off the beaten track. Along the seaside - all inclusive (Golden Sands) is convenient just to relax and do nothing, self-catering would be your choice in a village like Obzor, Ahtopol, Tsarevo.

There's so much you can do here!

  2. My friend just got back from Bulgaria, he said its a lovely place with lots to do and quite a lot of mini golf courses??! However on his first night a very bad lady stole his wallet, he chased her but she pulled a knife out and it ended up costing him £75 to get sewn up at the hospital. Not a very pleasant story I know, but thought you would want to know the good and the bad.

  3. Have a look at my site, I run a small B&B:

  4. :)

  5. For a family I would say the best place to go is the Dyuni resort, as it is quiet and relaxed, with lots of good facilities. The best hotel there is the Marina Royale, but it is quite expensive I think. From what I experienced, Sunny Beach is very very crowded and full of young people, so good for singles etc but probably not as enjoyable for families. Unsure of other resorts on the island.
