  1. You will love Sri Lanka. The people are genuinely lovely. It's really cheap accomm and food. There's beautiful scenery, lovely beaches and lots to see and do ie wildlife parks, ancient cities, the hill country and Kandy.

    It's one of the few places I'd go back to.

    I'm sure me and my bloke just took our cards and got money in the banks, can't remember ATM's and I'm sure we didn't take travellers cheques but check it out. Get a good guide book.

    Avoid the NE cos that's where the fighting is. Apart from that, same old rules apply, ie don't drink the water and don't get bitten by mossies.
