Question:

Holidays for 16 year olds travelling alone?

Me and a few friends (all aged 16) are wanting to go away somewhere for a few days on a holiday, to celebrate the end of our exams. We want to remain in England and not spend too much money. It's difficult finding somewhere that will accept unaccompanied teenagers. Have any of you been somewhere that you could recommend, or know of nice places in the UK to visit? Thanks.

  7. Youth hostels! Look at the Youth Hostels Association website - cheap. clean, and last time I looked the minimum age was 14. English membership links you up with hostels abroad too.

  8. you can stay in premier inns and travelodge.
i was looking to go to york and i emailed premier inn and they said 'at premier inn persons aged 16 years and above are classed as adults and are therefore free to make reservations' which means you can stay without anyone older than 16 =D
so im assuming that any hotel that says 'adult is 16 and over' would let you stay xx

  11. if you do want to stay in England then Newquay is a place where lots of teens go to celebrate end of exams.  Or, another option,  which me and my friends are doing this year to celebrate end of gcse's, is go to Vale do Lobo in portugal.  it will require a tad more money, but I went there last year with some friends aswell, and it's AMAZING!  :) hope this helped.

  12. Shell Island near Harlech in North Wales accepts groups of young people.  It is an enormous campsite 5 miles long and so finding a pitch that is well away from others is no problem!
