Question

when i was cleaning out my bunny's cage i noticed fur balls in there and he has chunks of missing fur on him. what is causing this? is he over grooming him self cause he is bored ? he also thumps alot at night time why does he do this thanks

Sounds like your rabbit may have mites. Look in his ears, if there are black specs in there you need to call the vet, they will give you medicine to put on the bunny to get rid of them. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
