Hollowell club’s Holman Aran - Beaumont Crispin win RS Feva: RYA Volvo North West Zone Championship
An excellent performance from Hollowell club’s Holman Aran and Beaumont Crispin at Blithfield Sailing Club brought the pair on top of the overall result board of RS Feva at RYA Volvo North West Zone Championship. The duo made no mistake during their run
at the RYA North West Zone to secure first spot with 5 points after six races and one discard.
Aran and Crispin started the event very well grabbing a second and two first places on Day 1 at Blithfield Sailing Club. On the second day, the pair displayed some outstanding performances and clinched all three races of the day to finish on top berth with
five points at the end of the day.
Winds on Day 2 were quite healthy around the racing area and provided sailors with ideal weather conditions. The breeze gusted around the racing area from 10 to 15 knots, which was just enough to feature a strong sail during the race.
On the other hand, Rutland sailing club’s Robinson Will and Hills Joe could not sail up to standards at Blithfield and managed to finish second followed by Bristow Hannah and Bristow Izzi of Leigh and Lowton, who took third podium after the event’s finish.
