Hollywood Hit gearing up to go 3 up for the season in stakes races when he takes on rivals in the Kennedy Road Stakes at Woodbine
The 5-year-old Terry Jordan trained gelding, Hollywood Hit, will be looking for his third stakes win this season when he goes in against five other rivals in the Canadian Grade 3 Kennedy Road Stakes at Woodbine over its synthetic surface on 19 November,
2011.
Canada’s defending sprint champion will carry a co-top weight of 124 pounds along with R Baker trained Fatal Bullet who will break from post number 6 under jockey E Wilson and M E Casse trained Paso Doble who will break from post number 2 under Patrick
Husbands while Hollywood Hit will break alongside him from post number 1.
The Oklahoma bred son of Cactus Ridge, out of mare Solid Hit by Time for a Change, Hollywood Hit kicked off his season at Woodbine running in the Grade 3 Vigil Stakes where he finished fourth to winner Stunning Stag at about seven furlongs on 8 May, 2011.
Next up was a five and a half furlong sprint at Presque Isle Downs, the Karl Boyes Memorial Stakes on 22 June, 2011, which Hollywood Hit managed to land by defeating Chief of Affairs in second place and favoured Ravalo in third. Hollywood Hit covered the
five and a half furlong distance in 1 minute and 2.98 seconds.
His second win of the season came in his third start back at Woodbine in the Bold Venture Stakes, another sprint stretched to six and a half furlongs on 20 July, 2011, where he defeated the rampant Signature Red and Riding the River, who finished second
and third respectively.
Hollywood Hit will be going into the Kennedy Road Stakes off a finish on the board in the King Corie Stakes, where he finished third behind Signature Red in second and Artic Fern in first.
It was a six furlong long race at Woodbine on 21 September, 2011. Four of the Bold Venture Stakes contestants will be participating in the Kennedy Road Stakes and those are Fatal Bullet, the 2008 Canadian Horse of the Year, Signature Red, Paso Doble and
Essence Hit Man, all of them have been defeated by Hollywood Hit in prior stakes races.
