The link isn't working, but I'm assuming it's a good picture of the Hollywood sign. Just drive up Beachwood Canyon north of Franklin. Great views all the way up. The "park" area around the sign is closed to the public and the people who live around it don't take kindly to a bunch of idiots driving around, so stick to the views from Beachwood.
