The Aston Villa winger has expressed confidence that his side has enough quality to secure a good result in their upcoming English Premier League tie against Brian McDermott’s men on Tuesday.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brett-Holman-c8047 has insisted that Aston Villa have the quality to at least bag a point in their upcoming league game against Reading. The two struggling English Premier League sides will meet at Villa Park on Tuesday, November 27.
The Australian ace, who joined the Villans before the start of the ongoing 2012/13 campaign from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar, has admitted that his side’s upcoming league is an important fixture for both sides. And the highly talented winger has urged his teammates to put
in another convincing display on the pitch as they did against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
The Lions recorded a hard fought goalless stalemate against the Gunners at Villa Park on Saturday, November 24.
“It's a big game, whichever way you put it, and it's up to us to do things similarly to against Arsenal, certainly defensively. I think we have enough quality and talent to easily nick a goal”, Holman was quoted as saying to journalists.
The former AZ attacker, who donned the jersey of the Alkmaar outfit in over 100 games in all competitions before moving to Villa Park earlier this year, went on to admit that his side’s main ambition before the start of their game against Arsene Wenger’s
men was to keep a clean sheet.
“The game plan at the weekend was to keep things tight especially when you think in the previous two games we had conceded eight goals. It was important not to concede. The way we have been playing, we have looked likely to nick a point but it was important
we kept a clean sheet”, Holman added.
The Australian ace has failed to cement his place in the Villa starting line-up, and the 28-year-old midfielder has insisted that he wants to become a regular starter for the English Premier League side at the earliest.
“I think every player wants to be in the starting XI, young or experienced. It's my goal and hopefully I can do it sooner rather than later”, Holman concluded.
The Australian ace has a contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2015.
