Aston Villa’s latest signing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brett-Holman-c8047 is looking to make a big impact for his club in the coming Premier League season.

The Australian attacker has impressed in the pre-season and hopes to continue that form for the side.
The player is only one of three who have arrived from the Dutch League this season. Holman was joined by defensive midfielder Karim El-Ahmadi and Dutch centre-half http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ron-Vlaar-c31697.
All three players are important signings for the club as new manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Lambert looks forward to taking them to new heights and leaving behind the woes of last season.
Aston Villa narrowly avoided relegation last season and had managed only four wins at Villa Park, the worst possible home form for a side that once challenged for a spot in the top 6 of the Premier League.
Lambert identified the midfield as a major weakness and signed Holman and El-Ahmadi to strengthen it. The arrival of Vlaar solidifies things at the back and gives Aston Villa adequate defensive cover.
Holman is looking forward to being a major attacking force for Aston Villa after the player showed just what he is capable of in pre-season. He scored goals against Burton Albion and Peterborough United and impressed with his overall performances.
The Australian international is capable of playing on the wings, or right behind the strikers. Holman is looking forward to contributing with goals and assists and hopes to be the main creative outlet for Villa.
"I like to play in behind the strikers and I'm an attacking player. I like to always go forward to create goals, score goals and defensive wise it's not in my thinking really."
"When I first moved to Holland it was my aim to move into that role and I sort of moved from left to right. At http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 I played from the left side coming inside and with the Australian national team I play in behind the strikers.”
"I've watched a little bit of English football and hopefully that role has a place in the game here as obviously that would give me more of chance."
