Can anyone give me anymore details about a memorial to the victims of the n**i concentration camps in operation throughout WW2?

I know that they are in Lodz, are next to a Reichsbahn carriage which transported Holocaust victims and are in the shape of gravestones with the names of the concentration camps mounted on them.

Any information regarding their design/er or origins will be greatly appreciated.

  1. The memorial is sited at the defunct Radegast Station close to the site of the ghetto, from where the Jews were transported, and include the destination tablets you mention, a representation of a crematorium and other artefacts such as the cattle trucks. It was opened in 2005.

The memorial was designed by Polish/Jewish architect Czeslaw Bieleck.
