A $20 million payday awaits the undefeated WBC welterweight champion when he takes on Big Show as part of WWE's "WrestleMania XXIV" at Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla., on March 30.

It's  bad that he's getting that much. Ali didn't get that much for all 3 fights with Frazier. And allPBF is gonna do is ham around for a few inutes in a scripted much. That really sucks. And it makes a joke of boxing.

There is no way that is accurate.  WrestleMania won't even generate that amount of money.

I don't believe the $20 million figure for a second.  I don’t even believe there will be a “fight” unless it is AFTER Mayweather-De La Hoya II.

If the contract for Mayweather-DLH II has been finalized, it surely bans any kind of activity by Floyd or Oscar that might result in an injury or otherwise jeopardize the fight.  If the contract is still being worked on, it will probably be put on hold until the wrestling matter is resolved.  Even then, Floyd’s participation in something that would be regarded by many as a sham would raise a question about his pugilistic integrity.  If all he wants is money, fans may wonder if he’ll just go through the motions in FMJ-DLH II and then retire.  

This is a VERY high risk venture for Floyd.  He really has little to gain and much to lose.  Best case, if he participates in a “fake” wrestling event, his claim to P4P greatness will be seriously impaired.

and just think how many of those idoitic wrestling fans are now going to buy Mayweathers next PPV ....as much as i dont like Mayweather and as much as this is a cheap attempt to win fans, you got to give it to the little guy.... his next PPV with Delahoya is going to Set a M.A.S.H. type record for PPV events all in thanks to those pansies who watch men wrestle.....

Like Elmer, I think that number might be fake, just like the rest of the sport. But remember he's taking a chance getting hurt. It would be a h**l of a waste of talent if that 400lb guy lands on him and hurts him somehow. It may be fake but the Tenn Titans took issue with Pac Man Jones getting involved last year, for fear that he could get hurt.

Why doesn't Vince just burn money in a barrel? No WWE fans even know who Floyd is. Most of their parents don't let them watch boxing because it's too violent.

I wish I was at the press conference when he was throwing out hundred dollar bills to the crowd!!!! Its no different than in 90' when James ''Buster'' Douglas was in Wrestlemania after beating Tyson. He was paid well for that, I dont remember how much but it was a lot.  Its all money and yes he is getting 20 million. But it will work 2 ways, 1, more p.p.v. buys of Wrestlemania and 2, More p.p.v. buys for his potential De La Hoya fight. Very smart of Mayfeather.
