i imagine that a government agents like what you described (basically spies) would get incredibly good benefits especially for health related things like insurance, and gym memberships. No idea for the rest, but frankly, this isnt a job you should be doing for the money.

They're paid pretty well and have good benefits.  I believe that the latest weapon FBI agents carry is the .40 caliber semi-auto pistol (forget the clip capacity).

Any government job has outstanding beneifts and retirement packages.  the National government is no different!

As for their gun, the standard issue is a glock 23-which btw, is an amazing gun!
