Home Answer machines, do they talk to themselves?

My answer machine is talking to itself.

When someone calls and I don’t answer it says

"Sorry there is no one available to take your call, please leave a message after the tone... beep"

They then leave a message and hang up....

My answer machine then says? "Thank you for calling"

I'm not in so I don’t hear it... they have hung up so they don’t hear it... who is the machine talking too?

No, mine does not do this.

mine chats to the microwave about all sorts of stuff when it thinks ive gone out, i pretend to slam te front door then catch it out. hillarious.

Give us your phone number , lemme try calling you and find what the problem is ..........

anyways call your service provider and have them check your line.
