I spotted this article on a man who built his own water power generator and it is producing enough power even for the neighbors and it is all FREE!

Now his government is getting nervous...what do you think?

Complete article and video here: http://www.russiatoday.ru/scitech/news/19371

I say we need more people like him!

P.S. Sorry about double post, Edit doesn't let you correct spelling EHrohRs!

  1. So what's your question?

In Russia many people (beyond rich) have "sense of brotherhood" and willing to help each other.

It's not an "individualistic" country yet

    (especially in rural areas)

  2. Very interesting...thank you for sharing the link.

My husband and I are very, very much "into" being as independant as possible.  This means eventually building our own straw bale house entirely off grid.

We've talked about hydro before, but have put that idea to the side for the most part.  Why?  Because it's virtually impossible, and completely illegal, thanks to the enviro-n***s.

We live in the high mountain desert area of Idaho.  Even if we could find/afford property which had running water it would be illegal to put a hydro anything into the stream...might kill a fish.  It would be illegal even if we screened it so the fish couldn't possibly enter the turbine.

In fact it's so illegal (thank you environmentalist) you cannot even put a household turbine into an irrigation canal/ditch that only runs part of the year (spring/summer) and has NO FISH IN THEM!!!  Do you get the idea that I'm not too fond of "environmentalist?"

My husband and I would love to put something like that in...we probably never will though.  We sure don't need the fines, and possible jail time that would go along with such a project.  By the way, my husband is HIGHLY capable of doing just such a project.  He currently works on the huge commercial wind turbines.

I think we the world needs more people like the Russian guy too.  Unfortunatly Governments do not like creative, thinking people, and "environmentalists" have have stiffled such creative ideas in many, many parts of the world.
