Home School Parents, have you seen this?

I received this in a posting in our Home School Online Group and I thought it was something good to pass on to everyone about home schooled children. Since we have all the negativity surrounding our home schooled children I thought this would be something positive to add!

One thing they brought up that I had never before thought of was the aspect that homeschooled kids typically interact with other kids based on INTERESTS--they are in activities that they are enjoying or want, for the most part, not simply put together as the result of age and because they have to. It changes the whole social dynamics.

Don't listen to that first response. It didn't even make sense. lol, and if anything, homeschoolers spend more time in the real world than public schoolers ever even have time for.

The link didn't work, but I searched homeschool on the CBS news website and found two wonderful videos from last week. I especially love the one about the Thomas Jefferson method and how it makes it possible to finish an entire year's worth of requirements in 1 month and still have time for fulfilling your passions and enjoying an active social life. Not sure if that's the one you were pointing us to, but it's a great news clip nonetheless.

Finally something positive and uplifting for once on CBS of all places. My goodness. Now if only those ignorant people could watch that and actually believe that yes homeschooling works.
