  1. heck yeah i see people all the time! i have a track period every day at the high school(my dad teaches, coaches there) so i see TONS of people like all the time. plus theres co-op classes, church, the mall, track, parties etc. just try to get involved with people your own age and try to get out of the house some! invite friends over. or if you live in the country ... then i dont know what to tell you! but if you live in the city(like me) then go to the mall, have a party, pick a sport or something. having a cell phone also helps too!!! haha i use mine too much :) its really not that hard ... hope this helps

  2. I'm a home schooler.  I'm shy though so I don't do many sports or activities.  I like to draw pictures, but I don't have a red crayon anymore because I ate it.  I like to play my flute, it's pretty easy I just take one end and stick it in my nose and blow real hard.  When you hear it make a squeally sound that's how you know when you are flutting.  will you bee my friend?

gonna_b_... I I'm scared. Too scared to even wet my pants.

  3. I'm home-schooled. I'm doing it over the internent, I live away from all my friends cuz we moved, but i still talk to them and see them every once in a while. I also go to church with my fiancee. I wish there was a group around here for homeschoolers, but I haven't found any. Anyone live in Columbus, Ohio, hit me up.

  4. I am a parent of 2 homeschoolers (ages 12 & 14). We are part of a group that meets once a month for activities and special classes. We also schedule field trips with other families. All of the kids @ our church (only 10 kids) are homeshooled too.

  5. hey! i'm do online school. i don't really hang out with people that often. i have one best friend who i see sometimes, i've known her since i was little. and i used to go to public school so once in a while i see a couple of my friends from public school. i have cousins that i see a lot. i don't have a very big social life but i'm fine. i'm seeing a friend today when she gets out of school. you could always take a class somewhere like a photography class or something to meet people.

  6. meeeeee! im in middle school 2! go homeschoolers. ya, we rock the world.

i have to ask, do you face the ever-favorite:"homeschoolers aren't socialized" and "they dont face the real world"?

cause i do. and what i have to say to people that you can use too, is what is the real world? apparently, its: when public schoolers are locked up in a building full of the same kids everyday, while homeschoolers can actually get into the REAL world, and learn things that help them with the career they want, instead of just endless facts...

and skibm80  is really an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!  i swear, hes lucky he dosn't get shot.

  7. Well lets see, this month my kids are doing; Owl pellet class, a 4 week worm & composting class, dance class, a homeschool bowling league, volleyball, dodge ball, and few other things I can't remember right now.

We also have Audubon centers in our area, that have classes for homeschoolers.  We have a chess club in our town open to everyone. The senior center has classes that teach knitting & crochet, and painting.

There are many resources out there, you just have to find them.

Most homeschoolers are used to working for an education, so making a few calls to find opportunities, doesn't scare us!!

  8. I have been homeschooled since grade 9.  And now I am in grade 10.   Life is a lot different from public school to homeschool.  But I have to tell you that I really enjoy homeschooling.  So much more relaxing, and you don't have to deal with all that non-sense at public schools or high schools.

I used to go to gymnastics, there were two girls my age wich I still talk to.  And I have 4 brothers and two sisters, one that is very close in age to me.  And she will be homeschooled next year for grade 9.

  9. Uh....I'll ask my homeschoolers to see what they say. I will point out, before I do that, that age grouping is a social construct that did not begin until public schools did. There is no intrinsic value in having friends born within six months of you, in fact, most adults do NOT limit their friendships to those that are their age.

B: library, toy stores, craft class, neighborhood
