Put them on the wall, if you put them on your rear they will fall.

well, u have choices.

u can mount them on the side close to the rear, put them in a shelf or buy floorstanding speakers to put in the back, or u can get a virtual surround system.  it creates the illusion of surround sound using no rear speakers.

The "rear" speakers (in a 5.1 system) should be on the sides. If you mean the rears in a 7.1 then they really need to be behind the listener.
