Home Theater Speakers?

Hello,

I can get these 2 speakers sets for $399.00 each delivered to my door.

Does anyone actually know which one is better?

Here are the model numbers:

Harman Kardon HKTS-18 5.1 Channel Speaker System

OR

JBL CS6100BG 6-Piece Home Theater Speaker System

Any suggestions will be appreciated.....

If they are both the same price they should be close in quality. I have heard more about Harman Kardon but either one would have good sound.

This is kind of like buying wine without tasting it first.

In general: Harmon Kardon mainly makes electronics. I would suspect the speakers are kind of 'add ons'.

JBL is mainly a speaker company so I suspect they do a better job.

I have the HKTS-11 and they sound great.  From waht I have heard, JBL makes great speakers too.  I'd call this one a toss-up.   Flip a coin to decide or search for some reviews on the cnet website.
