Hey everyone, I am looking to buy a new home theater system. So what is the best way to hide the wires? Through the roof? Along the baseboards? What would you say is the easiest? Or should I just buy a satellite speaker system? (The Problem is, is the qulity the same?)

  1. i have to agree with the first answer, its better to have a professional do it because between the studs in your wall there is fire blocking, witch makes it harder for the average joe to do, unless you have special tools like the professionals.

  2. If you have an attic or a basement you can run the wires through the walls and either up or down.  Although, that's not always as easy as it sounds.  Along the baseboards or under the carpet would be the quickest and easiest, but not necessarily the best way.  It really depends on how permanent this system is going to be?  If it's a house that you own and plan on staying in for a while you could always hire someone to do it professionally.  I hired a company to come in to my house and run all the wires from the four rear speakers to a wall plate behind my TV.  It cost $300 but everybody who's ever seen them comments on how good they look, clean and professional.
