  2. Since you are definately out of my service area, I would recommend you go with a smaller local company. Stay away from the multi-nationals who are only interested in monitoring contracts. The reason being, the level of service you get with a local company will typically be far better. Ask friends about their experiences.

Also, feel free to check out my website at http://www.keepsafesystems.ca. You will find alot of information on security alarm systems in general. There is an article on the MANY problems with wireless security systems in the archive. In your situation, you may also want to check out False Alarm info (Which deals with alarm system technolgy as a whole) and Protection 101 which deals more with how to keep your home safe. (Not everything relates to alarm systems)

Oh ya, if a sales person tries to tell you wireless is supperior to hardwire... kick them out of your home as they are not interested in providing you with a good system. Just my pig-headed opinion based on 20 years in the industry.

    Good Luck

  3. What in the h**l does the "home best security system" (sic) have to do with the subject of this forum, Home Theater Electronics???

1st, this can't be answered anyway, as FL is a large state and you don't specify WHERE in FL you are looking. Obviously (hopefully), you know that not every security company offers service in all parts of FL.

2nd, if you are really interested in an answer, look in your local Yellow Pages under 'Security'. Find an appropriate forum to post in (browse the 100+ forums in Yahoo Answers Categories). Post where you live, the names of the security companies offering service where you live, and then ask for opinions on service. Jeeeez!

  4. I agree, the keep safe site has great information.

As for Florida, Not ADT, not Brinks, Not Alarmforce, not Protection 1. At least that is what I read from this site.

I tend to believe it because there are not any advertisements on the site. It seems to be there just to provide information on security alarm systems.
