Home cinema connection?

Question

i wonder if someone could advise me i have a lg dvd player/5 speaker system the dvd was playing up (refusing to play dvds) so replaced it with a ronin p807 dvd 5:1 systemmy problem is how to connect the speakers to the dvd the speaker wire is the bare wire connection(red/black) the dvd requires phono plug connnection have purchase phono plugs and got hold of a soldering ironwhat do i do from here? any help gratefully recievedi dot really want to purchase a speaker setup with phonos as there is nothing wrong with my speakersthanks in advanced alan
