i rent a house from a private landlord,

i want home contents insurance,,

does it matter if i do not own the property

cos i have been told i cant get contents insurance cos i am not the owner of the property?

  1. You need renters insurance. Call a insurance agent and say you want renters insurance and they will know what you want.


  2. yes you can get contents cover whether you own the property or not, how do you think council tenants get on, they have cover, well this is what its like in the uk anyway

  3. That is rubbish, you need contents insurance! Just contact whoever you want a quote from and just ask for a quote for contents insurance. It will likely be very cheap. Try money supermarket, they are usually very good.

  4. Yes you can! We don't own the property but we have contents insurance!
