Home cook meal restaurants?

Do restaurants that feature home cook meal gourmet food do well? Do you prefer them over chain restaurants?

it's better to cook at home and eat instead of visiting all of the resturants

dont go to chain restaurants but love the home style stuff. usually they create something tantalising to the palate that you would not normally cook at home because of time or career restraints.
