i want to open a home daycare but i don't have a backyard. is it required to have a backyard?

It depends on where you live, how many children you will be caring for, and what the regulations in your area state.  The easiest way to find out would be to contact your local Department of Social Services Licensing Division.  They can give you all the regulations that are required in your area.  Usually, the requirements state that there must be some area for outdoor play.  But, the easiest way to find out is to call a licensing agent.  They can even go over your house to do an inspection prior to you opening a daycare so that they can tell you all the corrections you need to make before you attempt to get licensed.

  3. There needs to be somewhere safe for the kids to play outside but it can be a nearby park.

  4. No I don't think so. As long as you can get a reasonably big place and have a area where recreation is possible i think you can pass.

  5. If you want to run a daycare you need to contact your local council or childcare provision. This will depend on which country you live in as each country has its own guidelines as to what you should and should not have.
