Home exchange...australia to france?

Question

me and my family were thinking about moving to france for 6 months next year. my parents said a possibility would be a home exchange. i REALLY want to move their as i think it would be a great experience for me. i want to prove to them that i am very commited to moving there, so i thought i might do some research and tell them what i have learnt. have you guys got any previous experiences with home exchanges (and by saying home exchange i mean, like swapping houses) or do you know anything about it?? i would really appreciate your help! thanks alot!!

I don't have any experiences with them, but you might be able to go on one of the home exchange sites and talk to people in your area who have done them. Or search people's blog for home exchange stories.
