  1. Check out Thomas Edison State College. It's a legitimate college and you can even get financial aid. I've taken courses through them and everyone  transfer to the state college I'm currently attending. Good luck

  2. I'd check the Open University as a first choice. You can try out some free modules to see what you think and they've been doing it longer and better than anyone else.

  3. I'm not doing an at home college but I do know for a fact that a lot of colleges have online courses. you should check some of them out.

  4. Home Learning College has a very poor reputation, please don't sign up with them. See the following site for many reviews of their services, mostly negative:

They seem to have questionable sales techniques, so don't let them bully you into buying a course.

You can find reputable, accredited distance learning companies by visiting the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council website:

    www.odlqc.org.uk

They are the government recognised accreditation body for open learning so any provider listed on their site should be reliable.

As some other posters have said, the National Extension College has an excellent reputation. It is an educational trust, which means their main aim is education rather than profit, and I think that makes a huge difference.

    good luck!

  5. learning at home does not have much value but since you have some personal problems  u've got 2 sacrifice it.but i would prefer doing a full time course

  6. I don't know anything about them, but I agree with Firebird that the OU is about the best, and you will get a fee grant if you are on a low income.  I have also heard good reports of the National Extension College.  See:
