  1. Here is a recipe for bunny biscuits.  Note that when you cook it, the hay in the recipe makes your place smell like you are smoking pot...so if you live in an apt, try explaining that to your super!  Anyway, see below - my buns love this one.

    1 cup pellets

    1/2 cup hot water

    3 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce

    1/4 cup oats

    1/8 cup raisins

    3/4 cup of hay

Mix pellets, hot water, apple sauce, oats & raisins together.  Add in 3/4 cup of hay, finely chopped. You should end up with the consistency of mud pie.  Spread the mixture on an oiled cookie sheet 1/2" thick.  Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour.  Break into pieces once cooled, and refridgerate in a container.

  2. here is something i LOVE to do with my rabbit

A fun thing they like to eat are little vegetable shish kebabs (sp? wtv) Take a long bamboo skewer and chop off the sharp and and make sure there are no loose splinters. skewer on it some cubed carrots, cucumbers, leaves of veggies, corn on the cob (they luv it but not 2 much as it can giv them diarrhea), anything else that your rabbit likes to eat, and in between the veggies put some salt and sprinkle it all over the strand. you can attach this to the cage or hold it vertically and let your rabbit try to reach and bite of pieces of it. It's adorable because they jump up and down and try to reach it. Whenever i prepare this, he jumps around my feet, he just cant wait! hope u enjoy it with your bunny!

Rabbits LOVE theese treats and they are fun to make 2!!!

       Best wishes!!! :-D

  4. 8 oz. boneless and skinless rabbit meat, cut into 1/2 inch cubes

8 oz. leeks, washed and cut into 1/2 inch thick slices

    1 onion, coarsely chopped

    ½ cup sunflower oil

    1 cup port

    1 cup apple juice

    ½ cup blueberries, puree

    METHOD:

Combine onion, oil, port, apple juice and blueberry puree. Add rabbit and leek pieces and coat thoroughly. Cover and chill for 5 hours.

Preheat grill to hot. Using metal skewers, pierce centers of each piece until full. Balance skewers on a grill pan and cook for 5 minutes each side, or until juices run clean.

  5. Bunny Biscuits:

Remember, these are treats, so give them sparingly.

    1 small carrot, pureed

1/2 banana, mashed until really creamy

    1 tbsp honey

1/4 cup rabbit pellets, ground finely in a coffee grinder

1/4 cup ground oats, ground finely in a coffee grinder

Mix pureed carrot, banana and honey in a medium bowl. Add pellet powder and ground oats. Mix until blended. Knead in your hands for 1-2 minutes. Roll out the "dough" in 1/8- to 1/4-inch thick layers between sheets of plastic wrap. Cut into small cookies (about 3/4 inch across). Place cut shapes onto a parchment paper covered cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes (check to make sure they are not browning too much). Turn off the heat and let the cookies sit in the warm oven for an hour or so.

and maybe next time, try finely ground rolled oats in place of the flour. I am sure that lots of other changes could be made, and these would still work. For example you could replace the carrot with apple or pear.
