Home made solution for killing weeds?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to kill weeds using a home made substance??

I wouldn't be using homemade concoctions as you can do irreputable harm to the soil and it may leach into your neighbors' property.......law suit.  

You didn't say if you are just trying to kill weeds in favor of other plants or to kill everything.  

A lower toxic way to clear large areas of weeds only is clear plastic sheets over the ground, secure so it won't blow away and let the sun bake out the weeds.

Go online to pbs.org in the search box type in lawn care, answers will pop up choose natural weed killer. You can also google it for a quick answer but make sure to try it out on a small area first. I hope this helps

lol GASOLINE!!!

its a bit expensive though lol.....but it works..... and for alittle added show.... spray or water it in a line and then light a match!

its like instant weed slaughter!

Straight white vinegar. I put it in a sprayer and spray all my weeds works great.

You may use snowmelting salt that ecology friendly if calcium based. Natrium based will ruin the soil.
