Home network hard drive

Question

Hi' i just purchased your hard drive & am attempting to install it but can't get the blue led to come on.the drive came with 2 cables ( beside the power cable).there is a grey telephone type cable that fits the drive perfectly but does not fit anywhere on my processor.( Dell Inspiron 530). there is a black push on cable that fits drive & processor loosely. i am trying to use the black cable but the blue led on the drive won't come on.Do you have any suggestions? my telephone # is 604-526-1761.( Pacific Daylight Saving time).
