  1. Not till your lease is up at least. Maybe the owner sold it as investment property and the new owner will want you to stay.

    However; If you know the home is for sale; the smart thing is to begin packing and start looking for a place to move to ... its better than waiting and then having only like 30 days or so ...

  3. This is the right answer:

    If you have a lease, you have tenants rights.  The new owner has to either honor the lease, or start the eviction process once they own the property.  The eviction process gives you 30 days to find a new place.

    Some buyers want to continue the place as a rental and may honor the previous lease.  

  4. Unless your lease says you must move if the house is sold, you have at least until the lease is up.  Even then, if you are a good tenant, the new owner may want you to stay.  Good tenants are like gold.
