Home phone services?

I want to get a home phone,i dont have an open line(no house phone connected).Is there any phone company that is not going to charge me to open a phone line???Does any body know anything about Magic Jack?? If they are gooe or not??

All landline phone companies will charge hookup. Magic Jack has free trial, why not try it out?

I have the MagiJack! Some ppl hate it while other love it!   It all depends what you what?

I use the MJ as a 2nd line for everyone in my household....
