Home remedies for cold sores?

I got cold sores on my inner bottom lip from my braces. I have 2 small cold sores and i want to get rid of them.

Does anyone know any good home remedies for cold sores?

ps. one thing that has always worked for me is not to touch it and just out a band aid over it. Try it, its far less embarrassing and since you dont touch it it goes away a couple days sooner.
