  1. I have also suffered from dry skin in the past, also right now i have some dry skin, and what helps me a lot it Aveeno. You can find Aveeno products easily at walgreens, cvs, and walmart. They have body wash and lotions specifically for dry, itchy skin and is a very good product. Right now i am using St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash. It is pretty cheap for the big bottle, and it makes your skin very soft after showering. I suggest to use those products and lotion after bathing. Massaging baby oil all over your body after bathing also helps with dry skin. If you have dry skin on your face, they also have facial cleansers and moisturizers specifically for dry skin. Be sure to also drink plenty of water to hydrate your body and skin.

  4. Castor oil rubbed into the skin works wonders.  Try to find the cold-pressed kind.

  5. Last night I made a honey & sugar scrub, it did wonders, seriously. Take a really hot bath, open the pores let the water seep in, maybe if you can get your hands on some peppermint body oil to relax you a bit, add it to the bath water. Then, let the water out & the mixture will sort of be like putty, rub it between your hands first & then on to your skin, don't rub to hard, just up & down motions all over for about 45 sections on each limb really, lol. And then take as cold of a shower as you can to get it all off. Pat yourself dry with your towel & just moisturize with your favorite lotion. It's amazing :).
