  1. go to the store and buy some medicine. u also might have swimmers ear wich is just wen u have water in ur ear; but u cant just shake it out. try sleeping on that ear if u realize u do have swimmers ear so that the water can drain out. if u hve an infection, put a wet towel over it while ur sleeping, and when u wake up and go to bed, clean ur ear out really good with water and put neosporin with a que tip night and day on ur ear. it takes a wile to go away. so dont worry if it doesn't go away right away.

    hope this helps! :D

  2. A drop of olive oil and a warm wash cloth. If it is really bad any emergency room will see you and can give you papers to fill out that can get you a very low or no payment at all. Olive oil works wonderful tho.

  3. lts really best to see a doctor for medication cause your gonna need the medication to clear up the infection cause lt won`t go away lf you buy any ear drops at a drugstore

  4. Grandma used to warm sweet oil and put a drop in my ear. A heating pad also helps. If it gets worse, go to the emergency room and get some antibiodics.. it could effect your hearing.

Look and ask about a local clinic with sliding fees.

  5. You can try putting a few drops of warm olive oil and keep a warm bag of water or a heating pad on the underside of the ear for the pain. Also, in the pharmacy you can pick up numbing drops...just ask the pharmacist.  As for the infection you will require a good antibiotic probably.

  6. Similasan is the name of a homeopathic earache relief product that comes in a tiny bottle with a dropper.  You simply squeeze a few drops into the ear canal.  It relieves pain, soothes and calms for healthy relief.

Has worked great for those times my children have had earaches.  Got it at Walgreens.

If severe infection, I would still try somehow to get into doctor.

  8. Home remedies to ease ear pain

Here is a compilation of trusted home remedies that can ease the pain in the ear:

I like the peroxide- it worked fast and helped me so much... I used to get swimmers ear... Of couse, seeing a Dr. if symptoms are persistant is the best thing but... I hope this helps!

    - Mild swimmer’s ear can also be treated with a few drops of white vinegar placed in both ears. Put a few drops of vinegar in one ear and leave it in the ear canal for about five minutes before turning the ear down in order to drain the solution. It is advisable to repeat this twice a day for three days. It is most effective against any fungal or bacterial infection as the acetic acid inhibits the growth of bacteria.

    - When water clogs the ears, put three or four drops apple cider vinegar, diluted in equal parts with water or alcohol, after showering or swimming. This helps prevent future infection.

    - Take some baby oil, heat it and as it warms pour into the ears with the help of a ear dropper and place a cotton ball to avoid draining the oil.

    - Use the hair dryer to evaporate the water molecules in the ear. Set it to warm and sway it across the ear as it blow dries your ear. The warm air will enable evaporation of any trapped water.

    - Mix equal parts water, peroxide, and white vinegar. Use an eye dropper to put a few drops in ear. Let it stay in the ear for a minute. Tip head to let the solution drain. Put a piece of cotton in ear. It is advisable to do this before bedtime.

Hope you are feeling better soon! Best of luck

  9. Put a couple of drops of peroxide in your ear let it sit for a min. then let it out and clean with q-tip.

  10. I get ear infections frequently, I have used drops of sweet oil.  Warm it up a bit to room temperature and drop a couple drops in your ear and put a piece of cotton in.  Leave for a bit and eventually the infection goes away within 1 or 2 days.  It has never failed me.  You can purchase it from Wal-Mart for like 4 bux!

    Hope this helps!

  11. WARM OLIVE OIL DRIPPED IN THE EAR THEN PLUGGED WITH A COTTON BALL.

  12. Go to a Health Food store and pick up some ear candles. You'll need some help, especially if you've never used them before. Ear Candles are hollow tubes of linen that are tapered at the end and are coated with beeswax. You'll need a paper plate and a glass of water nearby. Cut a hole in the center of the plate, stick the candle through the hole. it should be a snug fit. place the tapered end in your ear, and lite the top of the candle, The plate acts like a visual barrier, and protects you. The flame draws built up ear wax in the ear canal. You should hear some pops and cracks. When the candle burns down 3/4 of the way dip it in water to extinguish the flame. Afterwards you should follow up with sweet oil, or Murine ear drops. Peroxide also works. 3-4 drops should do it, twice a day. It's interesting to cut open the remaining part of the candle to see how much ear wax was expelled. I have health insurance but would rather try to solve a problem like this naturally instead of going to the ER. If you feel you must see a DR see if there are any Urgent care clinics in your area. It's usually cheaper, and the wait isn't as long.

  16. .A few drops of warm olive oil in the ear sometimes soothes an ear ache.  Also check with a pharmacist.  There are a few over the counter meds that work.

  17. insurance? lol slow down heat up some olive oil and shove it in your ear VOILA fogetaboutit

  18. When I was little and had an earache my grandfather would blow cigarette smoke in my ear.  I don't know why, but it always  made it feel better.

  19. well my mom is really into these weird herb stuff...but if its an ear ache you can always wrap a couple of leaves of "ruda" in a cotton ball (I'm not so sure what this plant is called in English i think its called RUE) then heat the cotton ball over a candle and place it in you ear...or you can always try going to your local pharmacy like CVS..and find some thing

  20. I, too, have no health insurance. But, an ear ache is something that I have had twice over the past few years and couldn't get anything to cure it except antibiotics from the doctor. I had to give in and visit the doctor before it got well.

I can tell you that if you use a hair dryer on a warm setting on your ear for a few minutes, it will help to relieve the pain for a little while. Also, a heating pad on the ear will relieve the pain for a bit.

  21. you realy should see a dr! i know its expensive, but i had them since i was 6 months old and if they get severe - you CAN go DEAF! - no joke. whatever you do, dont use anything like 'aqua ear' to try and dry it - it'll sting!. Best suggestion I can give you for home stuff is to not let water get down ur ear (put blue-tack in when you shower) as thats what makes the infection grow - moist and dark.

Go lots of panadol and sleep. If gunk starts to run out your ear, you really do need to see a dr! if ur in the states, cant u go to the hospital?

  22. If you have a true ear infection, nothing is going to clear it up but antibiotics.   Infections left untreated can actually move down into another part of your body (like your hip bone: I've seen it happen)  Then you may be hospitalized.  Ear infections, left untreated can also lead to ruptured ear drums, and hearing loss.

Go to your local Health Dept.  You can see a doctor there, and they won't charge you much.  These home remedies are probably good to relieve the pain, but not so good at killing infections.

  23. Take a hot bath and chewgum

  24. Mix up ~ 4 oz. (1/2 glass) warm water and a tablespoon of salt.  Lay on your bed with your head hanging off the edge (laying on your back) and stick two fingers into the salty water and sniffle into your nose.  It'll be really salty, but that's good.  That's what works on the infection.  Do this several times before bed, then brush teeth and go to bed.  Do it again before your shower in the morning.  You will feel better within 24 hours of doing this.
