Question:

Home remedies for seasonal allergies?

I have severe seasonal allergies that include heavy sinus preasure, face and eye swelling, congestion and often slight hearing loss.

I have taken quite a few different allergy perscriptions and they work, but a lot of them have negative side stuff I don't want to deal with. Does anyone have a home remedy that I could try that works? Thanks:)

  1. Put 1 cup apple cider vinegar in 2 cups water, bring to a boil, turn down the heat, and breathe in the vapors for 5-10 minutes.  keep your eyes and mouth closed.  its stinky, and it may sting a little, but there's a chemical in it that thins the mucous.  worked like a miracle my last sinus infection, couldn't believe it.

its also good to take a tbsp in a liquid and drink it, but i could never manage that because of the taste.  if you do, rinse your mouth out with water after (don't brush immediately after) or the acid will wear your teeth.

  2. Allergy shots are the bomb, I had them for 3 years and once I started them I never took another pill or spray or anything. I know shots sound crappy but it is worth it trust me. Also if you don't want the shots go with an allergy medication that has psudophedrine in it like Allegra D, or Claritin D. This stuff works pretty amazing to. Good Luck!!!

  3. varamist works good for me you can get it from your doctor.

and claratine and also certizine works too.
