  1. Err...'home school teacher' is an oxymoron.

Your 'home school teacher' (if you think you need one) would be your mum (or even your dad).

Homeschoolers don't use actual teachers; we'd go to a native french speaker to help us learn french or maybe a retired doctor to help us with anatomy and physiology or a professional agronomist to help us with botany, that sort of informal arrangement thing. However we don't have professional teachers who teach us our lessons in the way that kids at school do.

The whole point of home education is that you do it independently - little kids are often helped by their mums but teenagers usually teach themselves or find an expert (not a career teacher) from within their friends, neighbours, own community etc who is willing to help them.

It is a mistake to imagine that home schooling simply means 'doing school at home'. It doesn't.

(If you/your parents believe you'd need a professional teacher then you should try distance education - that's where you enrol in either an online school or correspondence school and teachers there set your lessons, assignments etc and mark and correct them when you've done the work but you do the studying and lessons at home. There are such schools in both the public and private sector so, depending on what's available to you locally and which school you decide to go with, they are either free (at the point of delivery) or they charge school fees like any other private school)

  2. Talk to your mom and/or dad.   Sorry Jorge, homeschooling means that your parents are your teachers or facilitators.

  3. I'm not sure you have a good understanding of homeschooling.  Most homeschools are not conducted that way, and Texas does not have any laws requiring a certified teacher or tutor.
