  1. Being homeschooled won't hurt you for college.

You'll have a transcript and test scores. The SAT/ACT, possibly AP tests, other accepted subject tests.

A college wants to find a motivated person who will contribute to the college atmosphere. If you can prove that, you're fine.

  2. there might be a k12 but they dont give you a lap top they give you a crummy computer with there program on it and that is about all you can DO ON IT

  3. Keystone National High School is based in PA.

I heard there's a program called "IQ" where they give you laptops, but I'm not sure if they have a website or anything.

  4. I'm not a professional, but I have a few questions. What are the reasons for hating your current school? Why do you need to convince your parents?

Your home-school teachers need some connections for college!

    Thanx, Marty

PS - Capitalization will seriously count in college.

  5. Yes, there is a K12 public virtual high school in Pennsylvania. You can learn more about it at http://www.k12.com/curriculum_and_produc...

Take the link on that page that is most appropriate to where you live in PA. Don't let any paperwork deadlines slip past you.

You shouldn't have any problems with college related to using the virtual. It is still a public school even though it is virtual.

  6. Well for the college thing, no, there are no downfalls. Some colleges (very few) may require you to do some extra testing like the SAT II subject tests, but most of them are just interested in your SAT/ACT scores, and you extracurricular activities and personal essays. All still possible to do as a home schooler.
