  1. while it's true you need to be aware of your states requirements for homeschooling, you DON'T need to contact HSLDA. They do NOT work in the best interest of all homeschoolers, and they have a conservative, religious agenda.

you can find the info on your state's Dept. of Education website, or at

    http://www.nhen.org/leginfo/state_list.a...

  2. yes you can! but with the program i use, they can only give you credit for previous classes if you took it a whole year. I use www.jmhs.com ,,,its like $50 a month and they send you the materials. Good luck

  3. you can do an online search for home schools in your area. I found several were very expensive, but my state of California has one that is free. Google virtual academies to see if they are in your area.

  4. The first thing you need to do is go to www.hslda.org and find out about the laws for your state.

Then find a good curriculum you think you can stay with. A good starting place for curriculum is Alpha-Omega Lifepacs. www.Christianbooks.com  This is workbook curriculum and pretty easy to accomplish without feeling overwhelmed.

You are welcome to contact me if you have anymore homeschooling questions you'd like to ask me. I have home taught my children for 12 years and starting #13. I have 5 children, ages 17 to 3. So I have some experience here.

Blessings on starting your homeschooling journey!
