I am just starting out.

I'm 15 and failed the 8th grade :/

I'm in Brevard County, I need to know if

anyone knows any good home schools, or info at all.

I don't know what I am doing, I've never done home school before. I have been in public school my whole life.

Please, NO VIRTUAL SCHOOLS.

And if possible if you know of any at least 100$ a week or less.

If not, still please give me any info you can give.

  1. um, if you don't want virtual schools then there is only ONE home school... your home. You and your parents shop for your own curriculum materials, either a boxed set or something different, mixed and matched for each subject, and you set your own goals and your parents supervise your education. You can join a homeschool group. There are a lot of them in your county. These provide you with opportunities such as clubs, sports, activities, science fair, field trips, academic teams, dances, prom and graduation later on, volunteer opportunities, co op classes with other homeschoolers in specialty areas, and just generally a chance for you and your parents to network with other homeschool families and share materials and resources. Go to HSLDA.org and look up the homeschool laws in Florida. All you really have to do is keep a portfolio of work samples, a log of things done and resources used, and you have to submit an evaluation every year. This can be either a portfolio review done by a teacher, FCAT, NRT, some other standardized test, or an evaluation done by a psychologist. We're a pretty easy state. Email me if you have any questions or need any specifics. I'm homeschooled in Florida as well.

  2. You don't go to a home school your parents teach you at home!

  3. Home schooling simply means your parent(s) teach you at home.
