Home security - do you know of anyone who has installed high level security systems for their home?

my mom did in her last property to protect her against her ex husband he sabbotaged her oil tank and threatened her. we had to get police in then he poured oil down my steps and hubby stopped me from goin down if he hadnt noticed i would have ended on my back at bottom of stairs with son and both of us in hospital. u cant put up barbed wire cos u can get sued by a burglar for injury its a load of c**p in this country u cant protect ur home against criminals without becomin a criminal urself. she had cctv all round property but she needed it where she lived in the middle of nowhere.

I heard someone trying to pry open the back door. I sneaked into the living room and switched on the outside lights. It scared the burgler and I saw him high tail it out of there. .
