Home stay in Nepal??!!?

Have you ever done a home stay in Nepal. What should i expect?? (Accommodation, food, people, facilities)

I used to be a tour leader and have been to Nepal 5 times. The Nepalese are very friendly and hospitable people so I really feel u should not have any problems with home stay. But due to different cultures and the past development of the country, the Nepalese can be quite conservative with dressing and behaviours. Food wise, shouldnt be too much of problem. Do not eat food from just any roadside stalls if your tummy is sensitive and it is advisable to drink only bottled mineral water or boiled water. Hope this will help u a little.... Have a nice stay!

I'm from Nepal and i work in tourism industry for the last ten years and I can say you for sure that we nepalese as a whole are very hospitable in nature. So home stay also sholdn't be a problem in Nepal but depending upon the different places in Nepal sometimes the palce you stay may not bwe upto the standard you stay. Although if you are prepared for this you would certainly have a great experience in home stay. Any further question you can write to me, thanks

home stay in Nepal isn't a problem. But be sure you carry on suitable clothes (depends on when and which part of Nepal you are visiting). The food and culture are quite different than western but i am sure u will enjoy it.

Well, I'm from Nepal and i work in travel and tours.. According to my experience, every people can give your accomodation facilities along with other major facilities in their homes.. however if you want facilities of food.. then you should be a paying guest for them and then pay them monthly or so.. but it depends upon the type of family you want and type of culture you want to stay with.. and if you need any help i can be worth 4 u...
