Question:

Home theater and itunes capability?

Im new to the home theater scene. I'm looking for a 5.1 home theater system that I can hook up to my computer (a PC) to play my music off Itunes through my home theater speakers. I've looked at different ways of doing this, but the only way i've found is to buy AppleTV, which is pricey. I've also looked into getting a Y adapter to hook up from my computer to my speaker system, but many speaker systems arent compatible with itunes. Im frustrated, and looking for an easier way to make this work. Also, is there an easy way to play regular TV through my home theater speakers, or will it only play cds/dvds in surround sound?

  1. I think something like the Logitech Wireless DJ is what you require. You can then connect your computer and home theater in a very simple and effective way. Check out the link below-

  2. If you get a good receiver it will have A usb port and a port for an Ipod. Mine does I can controll the ipod with my remote too it displays the stuff from it on my tv as well. I can also run a USB wire to it from my puter to play music from it (i never do it i just use the ipod)  And yes you can hook your tv up to get that in surround.
