Home theater (computer) Speaker system, under 240$?

Question

I'm looking for a nice speaker system (Preferribly 5.1 or 7.1) that I can mount around my room, (Wireless speakers, or Wired with looong wires), that produces good sound, costs under 240$, 200$ is better.. or even 180$ ;-), and is compatible with a computer.

     I made great experiance with the sets from creative, however I have the smaller 2.1 sets.

This one should be pretty good. Hard to say how much tuned for games (mostly have to put the basses down) it is. The S750 is then the THX top, in case you would like to have home cinema experience.

If you would like to save more money , you can take the one one less powerfull. But take care, even if 5.1 setup is more targeted for use on desk (near field audition).

In europe www.teufel.de makes great computer speakers, but they do not ship to the US.

From logitech the Z-5500 is great, but probably above your price limit. The G-51 would be the comparison to creative low-cost, they are heavility optimized for games and near-field.

So it mostly depends on kind of music you would like to listen.
