Question:

Home theater speakers best bang for the buck?

I am looking for good, quality home theater (7.1) setup. I am nearly sold on Klipsch for the center channel and Front floor speakers (also probably the sub woofer). My theater room is such that I would need to do "in wall" for the mid surrounds and "in-ceiling" for the rear surrounds. I don't want to spend the kind of money Klipsch is asking for their in-wall/ceilings. An "independent" surround sound guy is trying to sell me on "D&A" in-walls/ceilings, but I haven't been able to find any info on them... ever heard of them? Or if you know of some other decent brands, that won't break the bank, but also won't completely distort the quality of the Klipsch setup, let me know... Also, anyone like the Onkyo line of receivers?

  1. HI there,

I would go with the polk audio speaker system ..You can look at the RM series(6750 and 6880) speaker systems and for the receivers... yes... Onkyo will do the work.If you are in a budget you can go with the Onkyo 605 or if you want to play around you can go with the Onkyo 805.Hope it helps

  2. I have Klipsch F- 3 mains, C-3 center, Sub-10, S-3 surrounds, Onkyo 805 receiver.  Nothing sounds better than Klipsch.  The Onkyo 805 receiver is the best bang for the buck.  Onkyo compliments Klipsch very well.  I went from a complete Yamaha setup to Klipsch/ Onkyo setup and  I won't buy anything but Klipsch/ Onkyo from now on.

  3. Onkyo is always a good buy for your electronics.

Speakers... I have to say Definitive Technology. All of their speakers are quality built and sound good. Their in walls are not cheap but they are quite good. Check em out if you haven't already.
