Home theater subwoofer and amp?!?!?

i have a 200 watt sherwood amp and i was wanting to know if it would be safe to hook up a 300 watt subwoofer trough the aux out port on my amp?

You cannot hook up a sub to the aux output of this receiver.  This receiver does not facilitate a line level sub woofer.  Go back to Radioshack and tell them you want the Accurian 100 watt sub (40.5060).  This is the best fit for your system.

300 watt is the max for the sub anything less should be fine.
