  1. I'm sure this website will be helpful in your quest...

  2. The instructions on inexpensive HTIB (home theater in a box) systems are really simple. to really simplify them: all you need is the home theater and the speakers that come with it, and a TV.

wires will come from the speakers to the back of the DVD player/home theater. plug them in according to how they are coded (some have numbers or colors to show you where to plug what in).

in the box will be a double-sided audio/video cord. there will be red, white and yellow plugs. plug the yellow one from the back of the home theater system (output) to your TV (input). there will be a yellow ring around the input spot. that's is the video cord. the other two you can plug in if you want but they're not necessary if your home theater already comes with the 6 speakers (center, front left, front right, rear left, and rear right + subwoofer for low-frequent effects [i.e. bass]). you can put the bass wherever you want in the room. just place your couch or chair in the middle of the action and you're set.

you're pretty much all set now. send me a message if there's anything you don't understand.
